Our Mission

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University is a higher education institution that aims to train individuals who possess the scientific qualifications required by the age, are rooted in the local context but open to universal values, adhere to the guidance of science, can think creatively and critically, are free and liberal, value ethical principles, have developed awareness of nature and the environment, and possess dynamic, research-oriented, and entrepreneurial characteristics, as well as being involved in the fields of art and sports, and to provide solutions to regional and national issues through scientific research and development activities. As a requirement of this mission, Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University has adopted the mission of seeking, producing, and transforming knowledge into life through a research-oriented, questioning, and analytical mindset. The General Secretariat of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University and its affiliated units undertake the main burden of carrying out bureaucratic administrative services in the realization of this mission, supporting this mechanism to be an open, efficient, strong, and reliable mechanism for the University, and carry the mission of creating a transparent, innovative, and sharing management.
