A ceremony was held in the university management board due to the retirement of MAKÜ Secretary General Ali Nihat Gündüzalp.

Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, who attended the ceremony, thanked Ali Nihat Gündüzalp for his valuable services and contributions to our university. Rector Dalgar stated, “Ali Nihat Gündüzalp, who has contributed significantly to the physical architecture of our university, has officially retired. The sense of loyalty in institutions is very important. Such efforts must be remembered and recorded. They should be appreciated within the framework of a culture of institutional recognition. One day, we will all complete our service to our state with honor and retire. Therefore, we want to spread and strengthen this culture in our university. He has provided very important services to our university. Our professor has completed 40 years of service. Serving for 40 years is not something that everyone can achieve. Therefore, it has a representative and symbolic significance. Our door is always open to Mr. Ali Nihat. His efforts and experiences are valuable to us. I thank him on behalf of our entire university.”

Ali Nihat Gündüzalp, in his farewell speech, stated, “The service role I started on the date of 1985 has now been completed. I have served for 40 years. I have always been honored to work with you, especially during my time as secretary general. The fact that our university, established in 2006, has reached this level is a significant progress and the result of teamwork. I am also very happy to be sent off in this way. I thank our esteemed rector, our board members, department heads, administrative staff, and everyone who contributed.”

After the speeches, Rector Dalgar presented a memorial and flowers to Ali Nihat Gündüzalp. The program concluded after the cutting of the commemorative cake.
